The Benefits of Green Tea

As science progresses, we often find that the East has long known medicinal secrets to promote better health. And while acupuncture and massage are well-known, few people know about the wonderful benefits of green tea.

Green tea has been consumed in China for over 5000 years. It is considered a “true� tea because it undergoes minimal processing, keeping its health benefits in tact. Green tea is a source of polyphenols (promote heart health) and antioxidants, making it a good tool for fighting off cardiovascular disease. It may also prevent the oxidation of LDL (bad cholesterol) and the overall lowering of cholesterol levels.

It has also been suggested that the consumption of green tea can prolong life and lessen the risk of breast cancer and prostate cancer. Research suggests that those who drink green tea consistently have a lowered risk of dying from any cause. Studies have also tied green tea to weight loss.
