YourBeanstalk’s Opinion: Women who are counselors can help people solve their problems, achieve their goals, overcome their fears and be able to move on in life as a self-assured person. The rewards from such work are immeasurable. Counseling does demand a lot in return – you have to deal with emotional or angry people, patients who are abusing drugs or alcohol or deal with victims of abuse. Because most counselors work for schools or the government, the hours and benefits are great, making this a great career for working mothers, single moms or career women.
