YourBeanstalk’s Opinion: Psychology is an intriguing and demanding line of work for many women. While some psychologists mainly do research, others work with patients in hospitals, rehabilitation centers or through a practice. There is often work to be brought home or patients to see or help after regular business hours. Because you are always on call, this may not be the best career for a single mother or working mom.
