YourBeanstalk’s Opinion: Most women photographers are freelancers, doing a little bit of every kind of photography. Salaried positions are rare and very competitive, looking for the most creative and experienced. Very few photographers are able to solely off of the selling of their photography, so most photographers have second jobs. Because of the flexibility of freelancing, this is a great career for women in all walks of life.
